During the process of Vidya Poshak´s endeavor to empower the student community it has been realized that the students are facing difficulty in accepting the challenges of the present day fast track developments owing to lack of adequate soft skills.
Though the need of soft skills development has been widely appreciated by the educational institutes, lack of quality and cost effective training modules, and non-availability of resource persons has remained a concern. In order to cater to this demand Vidya Poshak launched Center for Development of Soft Skills (CDOSS) in the year 2008
Cohesive District Educational Leadership Development Program (CD-ELDP) is a joint venture taken up by Azim Premji Foundation and Government of Karnataka in collaboration with Regional Resource Institutions (RRIs) in which Vidya Poshak one among them implementing program in Dharwad district. The Program is focusing on building Educational Leadership by enhancing knowledge, skills and positive shift in the perspectives of educational heads at various levels towards educational development, which contributes to the larger vision of universalizing quality elementary education in Karnataka. State Institute for School Leadership Educational Planning and Management (SISLEP) is funding and monitoring the program during this year from government.
